Robinson: Warning over penalties

Of the 12 previous encounters, 10 have ended with a single-figure score separating the two sides.

And although Scotland have won three of the past four, Robinson has warned that his side's discipline needs to be spot on if they are to overcome the Pumas again.

Robinson said: "What's happened in the past has happened. It's about what happens in the 80 minutes tomorrow.

"Both sides can play well under pressure. The side that keeps their discipline under pressure will be the side that wins this game.

"It will be vitally important that we are able to keep our discipline."

Robinson led Scotland to a 2-0 Test series win in Argentina in 2010, but early in his term as head coach the Pumas inflicted defeat in Edinburgh.

Robinson added: "Two years ago we had beaten Australia with a famous victory, having also beaten Fiji.

"We played Argentina and lost 9-6. That was my third game in charge.

"We understand totally how the Argentineans play and we have full respect for what they do."

Scotland head coach Andy Robinson has been a big call by dropping captain Alastair Kellock from his squad.

Kellock had skippered Scotland out in Argentina, but Rory Lawson takes over reins with Richie Gray and Jim Hamilton preferred in the second row and Nathan Hines named on the bench.

Gray is one of three changes in the pack, with Geoff Cross and John Barclay also recalled in place of Euan Murray and Ross Rennie respectively.

In the backs, Chris Paterson starts at No.15 and Ruaridh Jackson gets the nod at fly-half.

Argentina will be buoyed by the return of their talismanic skipper Felipe Contepomi.

Contepomi will start in the centres after recovering from the rib injury that ended his involvement in the opening exchanges of the clash with England.

Contepomi replaces Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino in the squad, with Martín Rodriguez moving to full-back.

In the only other change, Julio Farias Cabello starts in the back row ahead of Alejandro Campos.
