Brown: Tied down by ARU

Brown, who played all but one match of the Force's 2011 Super Rugby campaign, has become the 22nd player this year to re-sign with the ARU.

"I really wanted to continue to contribute to Australian Rugby and I'm glad we've been able to come to an arrangement that will allow me to do so," Brown said in an ARU press release.

"It has been difficult to watch from the sidelines over the past few months but making the decision to take some time out and get back to maximum fitness will hopefully open greater opportunities to represent my country going forward."

The 27-year-old has played 23 times for the Wallabies but missed out on a spot in the 2011 World Cup squad, opting instead to have a shoulder operation to ensure he was ready for the start of next season.

Brown joins the likes of Matt Hodgson, Ben McCalman and Nathan Sharpe to re-commit to the Force for 2012.
