Australia scored back-to-back Rugby Championship wins with a fortuitous 23-19 victory over Argentina on the Gold Coast on Saturday.
The win sees the Wallabies move past South Africa into second place on the competition standings.
It was classic Pumas - passion, forward power and rock solid defence.
Australia made their best effort to speed the game up, but their high error rate ensured the Argentineans could easily stay the pace.
The visitors took a 6-3 lead into the break - two penalties by Juan Martin Hernandez trumping one by Berrick Barnes.
Tomás Leonardi and Julio Farias Cabello scored tries in quick succession - the latter rather fortunate after the assistant referee missed a foot in touch - as the Pumas took a 16-6 lead.
That finally woke the Wallabies out of their slumber.
First Pat McCabe scored in the 60th minute and then Digby Ioane in the 70th minute, as the home team took a 20-19 lead.
A late Kurtley Beale penalty sealed the win.
