Wallaby legend Stephen Larkham has been inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame for his contribution to Rugby Union.
Having played 116 games for the Brumbies and won two Super Rugby titles (in 2001 and 2004), Larkham’s name has become synonymous with rugby excellence in Australian and throughout the world.
Capped 96 times as a Wallaby, Larkham was part of Australia’s dominant era between the late 1990s and mid 2000s.
He played in two Rugby World Cup finals (1999 and 2003), winning the Web Ellis Cup in 1999 as well as Bledisloe Cups between 1998 and 2002.
The current Brumbies backline coach attended the ceremony in Melbourne along with fellow sporting greats like Andrew Johns (rugby league), Kathy Watt (cycling), James Tomkins (rowing) and Adam Gilchrist (cricket).
