Ashton: Grabbed a brace for England

The England captain admitted it was not the perfect performance and paid tribute to their spirited opposition.

"We made it hard for ourselves," Moody told ITV 1. "We gave away a lot of penalties, a lot of mistakes at the breakdown.

"Fair play to Georgia. They were physical as we knew they would be.

"We have some things to work on. But six tries today - that's fair enough."

Shontayne Hape (two), Chris Ashton (two) and a try apiece for Delon Armitage and Manu Tuilagi ensured England secured a bonus point and top Pool B.

Moody said: "We have a lot to improve on. We have to win every game in front of us and that's what we have done."

England manager Martin Johnson also admitted his side need to improve.

"We need to get a lot better - it's very simple," he said. "Again - very frustrating."

Johnson said some of the players may have been "a little rusty" after not playing for a number of weeks.

But he said that was not an excuse, adding: "It's a simple game. We created chances but when you turn it over you have to defend for periods."
