Stevens: Fit to face Scotland

Stevens was ruled out of his side's last World Cup pool clash with Romania after picking up an ankle sprain against Georgia the week before.

On that occasion, Stevens replaced the injured Andrew Sheridan in the starting XV but was part of an England pack that committed numerous penalties in a lacklustre display.

And he is eager to show how much the forwards have improved if he is handed a second start of the tournament against a Scotland side chasing a place in the knockout stages.

"We've been working hard, everyone knows the pressure is on all teams at this stage of the tournament," The Saracens star told Sky Sports News.

"We're looking forward to Scotland, we've done our homework and we know the challenge that's in front of us.

He added: "We are happy with the way our scrum is going, we're happy with the way the team is at the moment and (we are) just looking forward to the game at the weekend."

Stevens has returned to full training with the England squad while No. 8 Nick Easter, who has been suffering from a back injury, also came through a training session on Tuesday.
