All Blacks hooker and Test centurion Keven Mealamu believes that he can stretch his Test career to the World Cup in 2015.

The veteran hooker has already represented the All Blacks at three World Cups, finally clinching the Webb Ellis Cup on home turf last year, but he believes that given the correct player management he and the rest of the senior All Blacks can hold out until 2015.

Although he will be 37 by the time the All Blacks set about defending their title Mealamu believes that he will be fighting fit.

"I think for guys that have been around for a while, we're in reasonable nick. Been able to look after ourselves quite well, and I think the team's looked after us quite well. So I think it's just a matter of knowing if that's what we want to do, that's what the guys want to do, keep putting everything into it and making sure we can get there," he said.

With a generation of All Blacks such as Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Conrad Smith already beyond 30 there will be some scepticism over their ability to last until the global showpiece to be held in England.
