The All Blacks ran in six tries on their way to a 51-22 victory over a determined Scotland side at Murrayfield on Sunday.

The home side managed to score three tries of their own as they showed some fight in Edinburgh, but the All Blacks had too much class and cruised to a fairly comfortable victory in the end.

The world champions took control early on and forced the home team to work hard on defence in the opening exchanges, but Scotland turned defence into attack when an interception resulted in speedy wing Tim Visser racing over for the opening try.

The All Blacks regrouped quickly and some great stepping from Dan Carter set up an easy try for fullback Israel Dagg, and after trading penalties with Scotland they established a 13-10 lead.

With their noses in front the All Blacks turned up the intensity and three quick tries from Julian Savea, Cory Jane and Andrew Hore saw them take a 34-10 advantage.

Scotland refused to give in and they were rewarded when prop Geoff Cross barged his way over from close range on the stroke of half-time.

The visitors suffered another setback at the start of the second half when flank Adam Thomson was shown a yellow card and Scotland took advantage when Greg Laidlaw pounced on a loose ball to put Visser over for his second try.

The All Blacks hit back when a cross-kick from Carter was snapped up by Savea who powered his way over before outside centre Ben Smith put the finishing touches on the victory with a late try.
