New Zealand won the South Africa Sevens for the fourth year in a row with a 47-12 win over France in the final.
Kurt Baker scored three of his side's seven tries in the final and also touched down in the semi-final when New Zealand came from 5-0 down to beat South Africa 12-5 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
The triumph is the first of the season for series leaders New Zealand, who had lost in the final of the opening two rounds in Australia and Dubai - to Fiji and Samoa respectively.
"We were beaten by a good Samoan team at the last tournament in Dubai, beaten by Fiji in Australia so we had to win this one," said New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens, who celebrated his 57th birthday in style.
South Africa finished third overall with a 35-0 victory over Argentina, who had earlier surprised Fiji 15-12 in the quarters.
Wales beat Fiji 26-14 in the Plate final, Australia outscored Samoa 26-14 to take Bowl honours and Spain hammered Zimbabwe 33-0 in the Shield decider.
Samoa saw off England 15-12 in the Bowl semi-finals, while Scotland went down 21-14 to Zimbabwe in the last four of the Shield.
The fourth round of the series takes place in Wellington, New Zealand on February 1-2.
