Morrison: Knee strain

Centre Graeme Morrison, full-back Rory Lamont, hooker Scott Lawson and prop Euan Murray all sat out Sunday's session ahead of their must-win game in Wellington.

Morrison, who was part of the Scotland side that recorded a 2-0 series win over the Pumas in 2010, has a knee strain, while Lamont was resting a tight Achilles.

Murray was absent due to his religious beliefs, with the Newcastle tighthead also set to miss the Pumas game, while Lawson is recovering from a calf injury.

However despite the absentees, Scotland captain Alastair Kellock insists the side will be ready.

Kellock said: "We've got a massive week coming up with the build-up to the Argentina game, we know that.

"But we'll be very focused, we'll work very hard and we'll look to put in a performance to get the win.

"Six in a row would be a great thing, but it's all about winning and getting ourselves into the quarter-finals."

Selection is set to be intriguing, with even Kellock not certain of his place.

The Glasgow Warriors lock, who captained Scotland to their first southern-hemisphere series success against the Pumas 15 months ago, was rested for the Georgia win, where Jim Hamilton and Nathan Hines performed well.

"It's tough. Guys have done very well so far," Kellock added. "We've got 30 top-quality players here so everybody knows they've got to be at their best to get picked."
