Scotland coach Andy Robinson has revealed that he plans to involve Edinburgh's prolific Dutch-born wing Tim Visser in the national squad as soon as he is eligible.
Visser will become available for selection at the end of the current season once he has completed the IRB's three-year residency rule and Robinson confirmed in a question and answer session with supporters on Twitter that he will be considered for the tour of Australia, Fiji and Samoa in 2012.
"Tim qualifies in June and yes, if fit, he will be considered for the southern hemisphere tour," revealed the Scotland boss.
Visser was the first professional Dutch rugby player and has topped the try-scoring charts for Edinburgh consistently in his time with the capital club.
After a few years in the English Premiership with the Newcastle Falcons and Northampton Saints but it was at Edinburgh that his career really took off and he finished as the top try-scorer in the Celtic league in 2009 and 2010.
The flying wing also played for the Barbarians against England earlier this year, scoring two tries for the invitational side as they snatched a dramatic victory.
