Rugby Super League Week 10 Previews

Published: Friday, 11. May, 2012 in category U.S.

Week 10 of the RSL has NYAC at Life University; Boston at Dallas Harlequins; and Denver Barbarians at Old Puget Sound Beach. NYAC at Life University, Life University, Marietta, GA, Noon Eastern. An exciting double header is in store in Marietta GA, as first Life University entertains NYAC in the big RSL showdown, and then Life undergraduates play BYU in the Division 1A National semi-final. A win for NYAC would mean a clean sweep of the season series between the two teams. Both teams have six wins, and Life's only loss has been at the hands of NYAC this season. NYAC holds all the cards in this meeting, as NYAC can secure home field advantage for the semi final with a tie or better. Life needs a bonus point win, and hope for help next week from Dallas in the last week of the season in order to leapfrog NYAC in the standings.

Boston at Dallas Harlequins
Glencoe Park, Dallas, TX, 1pm Central.

In Dallas the Harlequins entertain Boston. Both teams are winless on the season so somebody should be able to get their first win on Saturday - unless there is yet another tie in the division. Both teams have played well this year and are somewhat unlucky not to record a win. These two tied the last time out so another close game is possible.

Denver Barbarians at Old Puget Sound Beach
Magnuson Park, WA, 7pm Pacific.

Denver will try to bring their giant killing ways to Seattle on Saturday night. Fresh out of a stunning defeat of San Francisco Golden Gate, Denver will try to do the same thing against OPSB, albeit without the benefit of the element of surprise this time. OPSB is 6-0 on the season and a win would secure home field advantage for the playoffs. Denver’s high scoring offense and OPSB’s ability to score from anywhere on the field suggest this could be a very entertaining matchup.
