    USA Men progress, but fall to Kiwis in Hong Kong

    The USA Men's Eagle Sevens team had a rough start in the Hong Kong Sevens facing off against Series leaders and USA Sevens Cup finalists New Zealand first on day one of the world famous tournament. A 5-29 score line was a loss surely, but the USA under new coach Alex Magleby looked more confident on attack than in previous stops and are heading in the right direction.

    USA Women storm into Hong Kong Cup Semifinals

    The USA Women's Eagle Sevens team will make their third Cup semifinal appearance in as many tournaments in the 2011-2012 season after dominating Pool D of the Hong Kong IRB Women's Challenge Cup tournament. Spain and Tunisia fell victim to a very fit and very physical Eagles outfit.

    Dartmouth Takes Out Cayman Selects 42-27

    Playing in the second match of their spring tour to the Cayman Islands, the Dartmouth Rugby 1st XV found themselves in another dogfight against the Cayman Selects side Tuesday night. After beating the 2nd XV Saturday the local side was expected to be a strong opponent and by no means did they disappoint, going up 27-25 with under 15 minutes left in the game. But thanks to late push in which they scored 17 points in the final 10 minutes, the Big Green were able to pull out the win.

    There's A Whole Lot of Rucking Going On in Birmingham

    The Birmingham Rugby Club is proud to announce that the club will host the 2012 USA Rugby South Division I Women's Quaterfinal Tournament on March 24th, 2012. The tournament will be held at the club's home pitch, Erskine Ramsay Park on Montclair Road. Also, the Birmingham Vulcans Mens Club will be competing against the Old White Rugby club from Atlanta, GA in the first round of the USA Rugby South Mens Division II Playoffs at the park on the same day.

    Eagles Named for Hong Kong, Tokyo Sevens

    Newly hired USA Men’s Eagle Sevens head coach, Alexander Magleby, has named the 12 players that will depart on Sunday March 18 for the sixth and seventh stops of the 2011-2012 HSBC Sevens World Series. The USA will play in the world renowned Hong Kong Sevens from March 23-25 and the first-ever Tokyo Sevens on March 31 – April 1.
