University of Oregon Rugby is proud to announce the the partnership of University of Oregon Rugby Football Club and Leinster Rugby of Dublin Ireland. In an effort to help promote the game of rugby Leinster Rugby called all fans around the world to help promote the biggest game in the teams history, the teams first trip to the European Championship the Heineken Cup.
Leinster is well followed in Ireland, and somehow has found followers here in Eugene. UO Rugby happens to be that fan, “I was lucky enough to be checking out the Leinster website and I saw this “Blue Leinster” campaign they are doing and I looked into it” said UO Rugby team President David Hoffenberg. Leinster Rugby is giving a free “Blue Leinster Pack” which includes posters, flags, and other free items from the team, just to show the game at a local bar.
The ducks are hoping to pack Taylor’s Bar and grill to get a true Pub like atmosphere, just like in Ireland. “We hope it’s a fun event, I would say its like the Superbowl of Rugby” explained Hoffenberg. For the full story visit leinsterrugby.ie
