Siegel High School rugby team was founded in 2006.  In their inaugural season the Siegel Stars won the Tennessee Division 2 state championship.  A year later the girls’ team was added, and in 2007 the boys returned to the state playoffs as did the Lady stars both finishing third. 

In 2010 the team invited the Middle School players to join and are currently 30 boys strong.  Siegel is offered the opportunity to play their home matches in the football stadium, where "Friday Night Lights" rugby style has become a tradition. 

The team is also currently working on an "on campus" Rugby pitch, dedicated solely to RUGBY.  The Siegel programs currently are over 100 players strong and growing.
