Robbie Deans' men hold an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series following their last-gasp 25-23 victory in Melbourne last weekend.
But with the players set to return to their states for the final three rounds of the Super 15 season after Saturday's match, Palu says it is vital the Wallabies end their June campaign in style as the inaugural upcoming Rugby Championship looms large.
"We've talked about having this last game and finishing on the right note," Palu said.
"We weren't happy with our game after the second Test even though we got the win, so there's a few things to work on and hopefully everything comes right on Saturday."
After a horror run of injuries over the past two seasons, Palu has made his presence felt in the opening two Tests against Wales.
But despite being among the Wallabies' best performers in both fixtures, the big number eight is far from satisfied.
"I personally think I still could improve and hopefully I do that on Saturday," he said.
"Test rugby's definitely a step up from Super Rugby. I pulled up really, really sore last weekend but the body's come good again and I'm really enjoying it at the moment and each week I'm just trying to get more game time."
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old backed Australian Rugby Union boss John O'Neill's proposed Anzac v British Lions fixture to mark the Gallipoli centenary at Twickenham in 2015.
O'Neill has revealed internal discussions about the possibility of a combined Australia-New Zealand team facing the Lions have already begun.
"A lot of people would like to watch it and guys would probably like to be part of that squad too so I think it'd be good for rugby if it gets off the ground," Palu said.
"I'd definitely like to be in the squad if I get picked, there's probably a few guys ahead of me but I think it would definitely be something guys would look forward to and aim to get into that squad."
Destructive Wallabies winger Digby Ioane also likes the idea.
"That'd be awesome to be honest ... something to look forward to and try and make that team if it does happen," he said.
