Guy Mercer: Captains Bath for the first time

Bath already have one foot in the quarter-finals following bonus-point away victories over Bucharest and Agen, and they hope to collect another five-point maximum against the Italians.

Flanker Guy Mercer captains Bath for the first time, packing down in the back row alongside Josh Ovens and debutant Nick Koster, while lock Ryan Caldwell returns to action after injury.

Bath, though, are without England internationals Matt Banahan and Lee Mears, who are serving three and two-week suspensions, respectively.
