O'Shea: Hoping for 'exceptional' win

But Quins are in such dominant form - they dropped one point from a possible 20 in beating Wasps, London Welsh, Sale Sharks and Leicester this season - that a fifth successive victory of the campaign looks likely.

Quins' emphatic triumph against Leicester at Welford Road last Saturday served notice of powerful credentials as potential back-to-back Premiership title winners.

"Any time you go to Leicester and get a win is exceptional," Quins rugby director Conor O'Shea said.

"In the first-half we showed we were a pretty good rugby side. In the second we showed the heart you need to be a great rugby side.

"It's only four games in 22 and now we play Saracens, but I could not be prouder of the guys.

"We know we need to be more clinical, but it's early doors and we are happy with how we are progressing."

Saracens were the last away team to win a league game at Quins, but that was almost 17 months ago, and they will arrive in south west London having gone 180 minutes without scoring a try.

Quins show two changes from the Tigers game, with wing Seb Stegmann taking over from an injured Tom Williams and Tom Guest returning to the back-row at blindside flanker.

Saracens, though, are much changed following last Sunday's narrow defeat at Exeter.

Wales prop Rhys Gill makes his first start of the campaign, with fellow forwards Schalk Brits, Petrus du Plessis, Steve Borthwick and Ernst Joubert also featuring. Behind the scrum, Joel Tomkins and Richard Wigglesworth return.

Gloucester boss Nigel Davies has adopted a straightforward approach to tomorrow's Premiership clash against top-flight newcomers London Welsh.

The Exiles were firm pre-season favourites to be relegated, and comprehensive losses to Leicester and Quins earlier this month did not dispute that theory.

But they recovered brilliantly, posting successive victories over Exeter and Sale that suggest they will fancy more of the same tomorrow.

And Davies is well aware of the threat his players face at the Kassam Stadium as they target a third Premiership win in five starts this term.

"It is very important that we've got the right mindset going into Sunday," Davies said.

"It is going to be a physical encounter. I think that the two sides they have beaten probably didn't give them enough respect, and because of that they finished on the wrong end of the result.

"They are a very strong team, a proud side.

"They've got a lot of points to prove, individually and collectively, and if you get it wrong against them they will beat you."

London Welsh boss Lyn Jones makes a solitary change to the side that beat Sale last time out, with Seb Jewell handed a first start of the season at full-back and Tom Arscott moving to wing duty instead of Phil McKenzie.

Gloucester show three changes following their victory over Wasps seven days ago.

Mike Tindall returns in midfield, where he replaces Henry Trinder, with hooker Huia Edmonds taking over from an injured Darren Dawidiuk and Peter Buxton joining the back-row trio as England number eight Ben Morgan has a calf injury.

Jones said: "We were caught with our pants well down against Leicester and Quins, but we have learnt and we've come back.

"We are moving in the right direction, so we're very pleased."
