Young: Says Wasps must be more disciplined

Former Cardiff Blues boss Young had enjoyed a bright start to life in his new role with wins over Saracens and Leicester on the opening two weekends.

But his side have suffered a dip in losing their last three games, and their concession of penalties proved particularly costly in last weekend's 15-10 reverse at basement club Newcastle. Wasps registered the only try through wing Christian Wade at Kingston Park but were undone by five three-pointers from Falcons fly-half Jimmy Gopperth.

Young has warned his side that they cannot afford a repeat performance against a Bath side boosted by their 26-25 win over fierce rivals Leicester.

"Bath are strong all over the park and traditionally big and physical up front," Young told the club's official website.

"They also keep the ball alive very well and they will come at us from everywhere.

"We have had a good hard week of training and have reinforced to the players how costly our discipline and penalty count has been in the last few weeks.

"The players themselves are hugely determined to take control of the situation and sort it out themselves on the pitch and if they do that then we will put ourselves in the best possible position of getting a good result."

While Wasps have had a difficult week off the field, with owner Steve Hayes announcing that he is looking for a successor, Young's on-field efforts are boosted by the return of lock Marco Wentzel and fly-half Nick Robinson from injury as Ross Filipo and Ryan Davis drop to the bench.

Bath, meanwhile, hand a first Premiership start to academy fly-half Tom Heathcote with Sam Vesty nursing an injury. Prop Mark Lilley gets the nod ahead of Duncan Bell on the bench with Jack Cuthbert also on replacements duty.
