Wilkinson: Contributed 11 points against former club

Newcastle old boy Jonny Wilkinson put the French side in front on eight minutes with a penalty in front of the posts.

But after Jeremy Manning had levelled the scores, Geoffroy Messina shrugged off Luke Fielden to touch down in the corner.

Christian Lomanu then took charge with two tries in four minutes.

First he used his strength to drive over the line, before being released by Mathieu Bastareaud to find the corner on the stroke of half-time.

Wilkinson added the extras to give Toulon a 22-3 lead going into the break.

Any hopes that the hosts might take their foot of the gas in the second half were quickly dashed when Lewis Roberts muscled his way over four minutes after the restart.

Smith added the fifth score on the hour after Manning just missed an interception before Corne Uys pulled back a try for the Falcons eight minutes from time after sprinting 30m to the line.
