Goosen: Back for Falcons

Time is running out for the Falcons, who host Saracens next Friday and then visit Wasps a fortnight later, in their quest for top-flight survival.

"We have had Gloucester watched and we know what to expect from them," Newcastle rugby director Gary Gold said.

"It is important that we go down there with a positive mindset and take the energy that we had against Sale two weeks ago into the game.

"We are also realistic and we are very disappointed with our away performances, certainly since I have been here. It is something that I would dearly like to put right."

Mike Tindall and Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu return to Gloucester's midfield as the Cherry and Whites look to maintain their quest for Heineken Cup qualification through a top-six finish. One change in the forwards sees lock Alex Brown replace Tom Savage.

Gold makes four changes for the trip to Kingsholm. Greg Goosen replaces injured full-back Jeremy Manning, while Ryan Shortland gains a start on the wing and there are also roles for lock James Hudson and number eight Adam Balding.
