Waldouck: Enjoying life at Northampton

The 24-year-old endured a difficult time of things before being ruled out of Wasps' campaign in April with an Achilles problem.

His relocation to Northampton has been a success, however, with wins in their opening two games at Gloucester and at home to Exeter Chiefs.

"It was well-documented that there were problems on the field and off the field at Wasps last season," Waldouck said. "And it is more enjoyable to be part of a more stable environment.

"I've been made to feel very welcome by the lads and I've settled in at Northampton very well.

Waldouck played an active role in both opening matches for Saints, who lost four of their first five matches last term, and is enjoying the chance to focus purely on his rugby again.

"I have to say that people at Wasps like Dai Young were fantastic last season, kept the club going and did amazingly to keep spirits up and they achieved the goal of staying in the division," he added. "I fully expect them to be a lot higher this season.

"But at Northampton we've made a great start in terms of results and there is plenty of room for improving a number of things, starting with Bath on Friday."
