Farrell: Won't be allowed to leave Sarries

First-team coach Farrell has been given special dispensation by his club to assist Lancaster for the current RBS 6 Nations championship.

But, with Lancaster's stock rising after the weekend victory over France in Paris, it is not a situation Sarries are keen to see continue.

Chief executive Edward Griffiths told the Daily Mail: "Andy is contracted to the club on a long-term basis and is a massive part of our plans.

"We've worked very hard on succession planning and retained the same coaching team for three seasons.

"Andy is returning after the Six Nations and that is it as far as we are concerned."

Griffiths also said there was no prospect of allowing Farrell to perform both roles, saying: "A job share is not something that works."
