My name is destiny King, I am 10 years old and I live at Whatatutu which is a rural farming area 50k’s outside of Gisborne, which is our nearest City my school is Te Kura o Whatatutu. I have gathered a lot of my information on the internet, eg. Sponsors, team list, some history of rugby in America and the national anthem ‘ The star spangled Banner. I would appreciate anything either information or keepsakes to help with my project....

Today the Eagles landed in Wellington for their game against Australia on Friday, at the airport the players were greeted by a traditional Maori welcome and lots of well wishers - an incredibly warm welcome for the team.

The email above is one of many I have received during the World Cup, the tournament has embraced a nation old and young, from the major Cities like Auckland and Wellington to farming communities miles from anywhere. This is the 'Spirit of the Game' that we all talk about and makes us proud to be a part of the global rugby community - that's what makes the sport of rugby unique and special.

Great work Destiny...thanks for your support of the Eagles
