Here's a great article by Tom Fordice about New Zealand rugby and the development process. I completely endorse Tom's comments, players are developed over time, hours and hours of practice, just like every other sport. The point being, that getting young players involved in the game as early as we possibly can is a key part of developing rugby players in the future. Yes, it takes time, players need to learn the basics of the game, pick up the ball, run with it, evade and learn the basics, then anything is possible!
