Kimball Kjar established the Propel Rugby Academy in 2010 with the goal of helping players and coaches develop the skills necessary to play and coach at the highest levels possible. Kjar’s Propel Posts focus on a range of topics that cover player and coach development and other related areas.

Having been introduced to the game of rugby at the age of 18, Kjar climbed into the top echelon of rugby after a 3-time All-American career at BYU by getting his first international cap for the USA in 2001.

His international career saw over twenty appearances for the USA Eagles as well as appearances in the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

Since then Kjar has gone on to coach at his alma mater since 2008 helping the Cougars achieve their first-ever National Championship in 2009.

Kjar has also coached on the international level supporting the USA Collegiate All Americans from 2009-2011.

In 2011 Kjar was selected to attend the IRB TOP Coaching Development seminar in South Africa. He also sits on the USA Rugby Congress as an International Athlete Representative and works with the USA Rugby Coach Development programs across the country.
