With a 7-0 record on the season the BYU Cougars finally enter the confines of South Field as they host the Air Force Academy this Saturday at 1pm.

Saturday's fixture between the Cougars and Cadets features a meeting of national champions with Air Force boasting titles in 1989, 1990 and 2003 while BYU recorded the program's first championship in 2009.

The Cadets come into Saturday's meeting carrying a 4-0 record with strong wins against Cal Poly SLO 59-0 and the University of Arizona 44-21 last weekend where they came from behind on the road to score their first conference victory.

The winner of this match will have the inside track to the Western Conference championship as Air Force and BYU sit tied for first with each holding a bonus point victory over Arizona and Arizona State respectively.

"You always know with Air Force that they're going to be physical and really fit," said BYU captain Ryan Roundy, "They're a great team and it should be a good game."

Last year BYU beat the Cadets in Colorado Springs by the score of 95-8 scoring a total of 15 tries to Air Force's 1.

But BYU head coach David Smyth knows the Cadets won't be push-overs this time around.

"We have a lot of respect for Air Force," Smyth said, "They've committed to do something beyond rugby and school. And they're a much improved team this year and we expect a very competitive challenge. It should be a great match for the home opener."

Kick-off against Air Force is slated for 1pm on Saturday on BYU's South Field. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and children under the age of 12 being free. Tickets can be bought at the gate.
