The dates of the second USA Rugby Men’s and Women’s College Sevens National Championship have been changed to November 30 - December 1 as a result of the College Management Council's review of the previously announced date in light of feedback from members of the collegiate rugby community.

The amended date, according to the committee, accommodates a nationally representative field of teams.

Details about the qualification process have also been confirmed and are as follows:

Men's Qualification Process

• Field of 24 Division I teams selected via either automatic qualification or At-Large qualification
• Qualifying tournaments must be approved in advance by the USA Rugby Men's Collegiate Competition Committee
• Automatic qualifying tournaments must include a minimum of seven different member teams from a USAR sanctioned Division I conference
• At-Large qualifying tournaments shall include at least eight Division I-A and/or DI-AA teams

Women's Qualification Process

• Field of 16 Women's college teams selected via either automatic qualification or At-Large qualification
• Qualifying tournaments must be approved in advance by the USA Rugby Women's Collegiate Competition Committee
• Automatic qualifying tournaments must include a minimum of four different member teams from a USAR sanctioned Division I conference
• At-Large qualifying tournaments shall include at least four different eligible teams from any Division
