Cipriani: Sidelined by the Rebels

The England fly-half has missed the last three games after he was 'stood down' following repeated breaches of club discipline - with the club announcing they had "lost confidence" in Cipriani.

The 23-year-old's management are now holding crunch meetings with officials at the club to resolve the issues.

As a result, Cipriani currently remains in limbo - and faces the prospect of missing the game against the Stormers on Friday.

Rebels assistant coach Damien Hill told AAP: "The administration is in talking with Danny's management at the moment regarding his availability for this week.

"It's not ideal, but that's just the way it is at the moment.

"You'll find out more about that on Wednesday when we'll be announcing the team.

"There are issues there that need to be resolved and that's being handled by the administration."

Cipriani has been linked to a move away from the Super Rugby franchise since being frozen out, with Bath and Toulon among those believed to have been initially monitoring the situation.
