The Sportsground-based outfit have recruited heavily in the close-season, with the likes of Henry Fa'afili and Ethienne Reynecke have signed up.
And having put the new signings through their paces over the past fortnight since returning to training, Elwood has been encouraged with the progress made.
Elwood told the club's official site: "We're very happy with how the squad has gelled together, it can be difficult when you have 15 new players coming into a squad but they've put in a huge effort over the last two weeks and we're very happy with how things are progressing.
"The squad are getting on well together and we'll continue pushing the lads over the next few weeks to get the best out of them."
