Wilkinson damaged his elbow against Scotland last weekend and Johnson admitted on Sunday he was worried the injury would keep his star fly-half out of England's Rugby World Cup quarter-final against France.
At that stage, Johnson had deeper concerns over Wilkinson than Tindall.
But the Toulon fly-half, a World Cup winner in 2003, took part in the session at Takapuna Rugby Club without any obvious strapping on his arm.
Johnson will name his side to face France in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Should Wilkinson suffer any reaction then Toby Flood would come into the team at fly-half following his match-winning contribution off the bench against Scotland.
If Tindall is ruled out, Johnson must decide whether to start with Shontayne Hape at inside centre, press the versatile Matt Banahan into midfield action or pair Wilkinson up with Flood.
Jeremy Guscott, meanwhile, has hit out at some of England's players for what he feels has been "completely unacceptable" behaviour at the World Cup.
He told BBC Sport: "Martin Johnson's got a few kids that aren't acting as though they're playing for England, or at a World Cup.
"It's beyond belief, it is staggering."
He added: "The last thing Johnson wants is to be sat at a press conference having to firefight questions from journalists.
"A few guys going out to let off some steam in Queenstown I can understand but you've got to say 'guys, you're under the microscope'.
"You're representing your country, you've got the hopes and dreams of millions of rugby supporters back home and all they're hearing is stories of messing about and drinking. It's completely unacceptable.
"This is a Rugby World Cup. If you think you're living in a goldfish bowl wait until the 2015 Rugby World Cup [in England]. They'll be under a microscope then."
