Briggs: Facing disciplinary hearing

London Welsh hooker Neil Briggs has been cited for alleged foul play against Harlequins last Sunday.

The Rugby Football Union announced that he will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday night.

Briggs was reported by independent citing officer John Byett for punching or striking Harlequins back Sam Smith during last Sunday's Aviva Premiership game at the Kassam Stadium.

The case will be heard by a three-man RFU panel under the chairmanship of Jeremy Summers.
