Boks punished by ruthless All Blacks

The Springboks were blown away by the ruthless efficiency of the All Blacks who cruised to a dominant 40-7 victory in their Tri-Nations encounter in Wellington on Saturday.

The New Zealanders scored three tries in each half as they exposed a leaky Springbok defensive system that was just not up to the task at this level. The visitors managed to get one try of their own through skipper John Smit but it was little to shout about in comparison to the display put on by the home team.

Both All Black wings crossed for a brace of tries as the Springboks were stretched out wide, and if Dan Carter had not missed four of his conversion attempts it could have been even uglier on the scoreboard.

The All Blacks were dominant at the set-pieces and were completely destroying the Bok scrum by the end of the game, they carried that intensity to the tackle area and although the Springboks never gave up they were on the back foot from start to finish.
