Basson knock for Blue Bulls

Blue Bulls wing Bjorn Basson will have to wait another week before he can make his Currie Cup debut for the Loftus Versfeld-based side after being ruled out through injury.

The prolific wing, who scored a record 21 tries in last year's competition when he was still playing for Griquas, is still suffering from concussion sustained in last weekend's Test match between the Springboks and All Blacks in Wellington.

He will be replaced by Stephan Dippenaar, who moves up from the bench to take his place in the starting line-up for the big clash with the unbeaten Golden Lions in Pretoria on Saturday.

Impressive young utility back Jurgen Visser will take Dippenaar's place on the bench.

Revised Blue Bulls team: 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 Stefan Watermeyer, 12 Francois Venter, 11 Stephan Dippenaar, 10 Francois Brummer, 9 Dustin Jinka, 8 CJ Stander, 7 Dewald Potgieter (captain), 6 Derick Küun, 5 Juandre Kruger, 4 Flip van der Merwe, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Chiliboy Ralepelle, 1 Dean Greyling.
