There are still the real All Blacks

It seems that black is the acceptable colour for the Rugby World Cup as the number now grows to five. There is a whole spectrum of colours but some have latched onto black as the acceptable colour even though it may have nothing to do with their tradition.

The All Blacks play in black. They have done so for well over a hundred years. Now England wore black when they played Wales.

Not in 140 years has black been an England colour. Their white jerseys would not have clashed with Wales's red. Perhaps there is some compliment for the All Blacks in this - that everybody wants to be taken for the All Blacks.

Perhaps the foreigners in the England side do not care about England's traditions any way. So they do not care if they play their opening World Cup match against Argentina in all black.

The All Blacks do not like it at all, claiming that England are disrespecting traditions.

But England are not alone. Wales, who have played in red forever and sometimes have flashes of green or white, will have black as their change strip.

The Brave Blossoms of Japan play in Cherry and White hoops but their change strip will be white. The Canadians from the Land of the Maple Leaf usually play in red but will have black as their change strips.

There we have it - the real All Blacks and four teams of wannabes.
