In their FNB Classic Clash played at Rosemore Park in George, George beat Pacaltsdorp 7-5 in difficult conditions.

The George area - traditionally cold and wet - was cold and wet all right after the heavy rains of earlier in the week. The field at Rosemore Park was wet and muddy.

All the points were scored in the first half. Centre Jeyswin Jansen scored the only try of the match and he did so under the posts. Nielin Scott converted.

Pacaltsdorp had two great chances to score tries but had to settle for a penalty by star centre Lu-wayne Meyer.

Pacaltsdorp attacked with great vigour in the second half but the George defence held.

George won the 2nd XV match and the Under-16A match while there were draws in the Under-15A and Under-14A.

The girls also played in an Under-18 rugby match and here too George triumphed - 5-0.
