Eddie Prins would like to erase the memories of the last time his side, Hoërskool Punt, played against rivals Langenhoven Gimnasium.
"We were in control for the majority of the match. But we let our concentration slip in the final minutes of the game and handed Langenhoven the win," the 18-year old said.
When the two sides meet this Saturday in their FNB Classic Clash, Prins is confident that he will walk off the pitch a much happier player than he was the last time the sides met in Interschools.
"We've had a great season so far. For this game, we've worked hard on our structures and I'm confident that we can get the win this time round," the scrumhalf told classicclashes.co.za.
It will be the third time that the matric student will run out for the First XV against Langenhoven but the skipper still regards the game as a huge occasion.
"I'm not feeling the pressure as yet, but it will be a good feeling to run out on the field on Saturday. We've attracted plenty of support with our playing style and I'm sure that every seat will be filled on game day," the fullback said.
As well as being a veteran of the Interschools match, Prins has twice been selected to play for the Southwestern Districts Eagles' U18 Craven Week side. His most recent call up was in 2011 as he says that the opportunity to play against the other provincial sides was "eye opening."
Prins regards Springbok fullback François Steyn as someone to look up to, though he concedes that he most admires the form the Bok star showed in seasons past.
The fullback would like to become a mathematics teacher when he completes his studies and would like do so at the North-West University and possibly play rugby in the Steinhoff Koshuis rugby league.
Prins though juggles his rugby duties around being his school's deputy headboy and says that he plays cricket, tennis and does athletics when he isn't playing rugby.
When asked how he manages himself: "I do as much as I can, as quickly as I can," he quipped.
