There will be a lot resting on Neethling Fouché's broad shoulders when he leads his Grey College team out against Paul Roos in their FNB Classic Clash in Stellenbosch on Saturday.

Fouché will be captaining his side for the first time against a formidable opponent and he will be looking to keep his side's unbeaten record intact in the process. The big tighthead prop, though, is relishing the challenge.

"There is a bit of pressure, considering the circumstances, but I am looking forward to the experience," the 18-year old told classicclashes.co.za.

"We've had a good season so far, winning all but two games, which we drew, and we're all looking forward to playing Paul Roos," Fouché said. "We've had some intense training sessions this week, but everyone knows what to do on Saturday."

The Grey student is no stranger to the big pressure game as he has represented the Free State at Craven Week this year and has also played SA Schools rugby. His rugby pedigree runs in the family as he has a brother who has played for the Leopards at Under-21 level.

Fouché is also keen cricketer having been a handy allrounder before he focused on rugby full-time.

His dedication to the sport has paid dividends as the 116kg teen has signed up to play for the Blue Bulls when he completes his schooling.
