Boks bruise All Blacks' egos

The Springboks produced their best performance of the season by some distance with a fantastic 18-5 triumph over the All Blacks in the Tri-Nations in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

Much like they have done on so many occasions in the past, just when even the most die hard supporters begin to doubt the Boks' capabilities they produce a fantastic performance against arch rivals New Zealand.

Why some neigh-sayers will point out that this wasn't a full strength All Blacks outfit, you'll find those were the same people that expected a Kiwi victory to emphasise the depth at Graham Henry's disposal.

Some top notch defence in crucial moments of the game held the Boks together, as the All Blacks threw everything into the attack, but the sublime kicking performance from Morne Steyn put the Boks' noses in front.
