Zebo helps Munster sink Glasgow

Simon Zebo grabbed his first try of the new Pro 12 season to help reigning champions Munster continue their perfect start to the campaign with a 23-12 defeat of Glasgow at Firhill.

After crossing for his first Munster try against the Scarlets last April, Zebo, a 21-year-old replacement for the injured Denis Hurley, opened his account this term by collecting Lifeimi Mafi's score and flying over on 44 minutes.

Tony McGahan's men began their title defence in style with a 20-12 defeat of the Dragons last week and continued to impress against the Warriors with Niall Ronan crossing for the game's other try on the stroke of half time.

And despite missing out on a try bonus point for the second week running, 13 points from the boot of Ian Keatley ensured Munster were always in control of the game.

Meanwhile, Fionn Carr offered the Leinster faithful a taste of what's to come with a superb display as the Heineken Cup champions bounced back from their opening day defeat to Ospreys by outclassing the Dragons 31-10.

The lightning-quick 25-year-old wing marked his first home PRO 12 start since his switch from Connacht by continually carving up the Dragons defence - laying on the opening score for Eoin O'Malley before crossing for the final score of the night.

O'Malley was followed over the try line flyhalf Ian Madigan as the Irish hosts stepped up a gear in the second half to blow away their Welsh visitors.

Isa Nacewa also contributed 16 points with the boot to wipe away the memories of the opening 27-3 defeat to Ospreys and condemn the Dragons to a second successive loss.
