Harlequins flyhalf Joe Marler pleaded guilty for striking an opponent in the Aviva Premiership match against London Irish on September 3.

Marler has been suspended for three weeks and will be available to play again on October 5.

Will James of Gloucester was cited for striking an opponent in the match against Northampton Saints on September 4. He too pleaded guilty and was suspended for two weeks. The suspension, however, was reduced to one week given his previous good disciplinary record. He is available to play again on September 20.

The cases were heard by Philip Evans (chairman), John Doubleday and David Levy on Tuesday.
