France's loosehead prop has injured his upper leg and his future at the World Cup is in jeopardy.
This bit of bad news comes after David Skrela was ruled out of the World Cup and has gone home to France.
Mas, 31 years of age now and with 47 caps, will miss Sunday's match with Canada and then undergo fitness tests on Monday to gauge the extent of his injury. It would be a blow to France if he were to miss the New Zealand game at Eden Park on 24 September.
Luc Ducalcon is likely to take Mas's place.
