England stutter to victory

England struggled to a 41-10 win over Georgia in a tight match where the minnows once again had one of the tournament favourites finding life tough.

While England might have won on the scoreboard, Georgia will be the far happier of the two sides and did themselves proud.

Georgia are arguably the most improved side at the World Cup and could have been even closer to England had their goal-kicking been better.

England left the match with more questions than answers.

More to follow...

Man of the Match: Flyhalf Merab Kvirikashvili from the lowly French fourth division was excellent and will no doubt attract some more highly regarded employers soon, however, his goal-kicking was woeful Georgia's other star was blindside flank Mamuka Gorgodze who was at the heart of everything and win our vote. England's best player was probably fullback Ben Foden.

Moment of the Match: Georgia wheeled the scrum to the right and No.8 Dimitri Basilaia broke off the back and charged over the line for an excellent try showing the kind of professionalism that was missing from England.

Villain of the Match: Dylan Hartley was the man shown the yellow card for repeated infringements, but several England players were giving away needless penalties.
