The Hurricanes have called up Jason Rutledge to join the squad following injuries suffered in their 29-28 win over the Crusaders on Friday.
The Southland stalwart will join the Hurricanes on Monday morning as cover, with the two hookers, Dane Coles and Motu Matu’u, under injury clouds following the game.
Coles suffered an ankle injury and Matu’u a shoulder injury. Both are working with the Hurricanes medical team to determine the seriousness of the injuries and their availability to train and play this week.
Rutledge is not currently contracted to any Super Rugby franchise or wider training group.
