    Eagles Named to Face Japan in Tokyo

    USA Eagles Head Coach, Eddie O’Sullivan, has made eight changes to his team that started against Canada in Glendale last weekend. The USA will face Japan at 7 p.m JST on Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Prince Chichbu Memorial Rugby Ground.

    USA Rugby Launches Four Pilot Geographical Unions

    Effective with the opening of the 2011-2012 Membership Season, the USA Rugby Board of Directors named four Geographical Unions (GUs) as part of a pilot program to review a new streamlined union structure. GUs are designed to support anticipated growth in the game and to provide increased member services at the local level.

    The Men's Collegiate All-American Sevens team will assemble this Saturday August 20 to train in advance of the Emirates Airlines USA Rugby Men's All-Star Sevens Championship which begins on Friday August 26 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.

    Glendale Women Raptors Build Rugby Program

    The Glendale Women Raptors have a new head coach for the Division 2 team. Angie Cranmore has been coaching the West U23 team for nearly seven years. Cranmore’s first position coaching club side rugby has begun with training the D2 Raptor Women for the 2011 Fall Season.

    The USA Eagles lost 27-7 against Canada in front of a sold out crowd at Infinity Park on Saturday. Despite plenty of possession and territory, it was through USA errors that allowed Canada to run in three tries during the match.

    Eagles WNT Claim Third in Nations Cup

    The USA Women's National Team beat South Africa by a clean 20 point margin on Saturday at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario to claim third place in the Women's Nations Cup. With a final score of 29-9, the USA avenged their 23-26 loss on Tuesday to the South Africans and will leave the tournament on a positive note.

    Berkeley & Belmont Reign Supreme at Club Sevens

    The Berkeley All-Blues and Belmont Shore were anointed champions at San Francisco Golden Gate today after winning the Emirates Airline USA Rugby Men's and Women's Club Sevens Championships. Berkeley took out the Boston Belles 34-0 in the final and Belmont Shore beat Schyulkill River 37-14 to reclaim their sevens crown.

    Springfield Celts 3rd Youth Rugby Skills Camp a Huge Success

    The Springfield Celts Rugby Club, in collaboration with the Illinois Inter-Agency Athletic Association, hosted a Rugby Skills Camp for at-risk youth. Children from children's homes across Central Illinois met at Kennedy Park in Springfield on August 6th to participate in rugby for the third straight year.
