Men’s national team coach Alex Magleby has named his roster for the opening round of the HSBC Sevens World Series at Skilled Park in Gold Coast, Queensland.
The series, which marks the beginning of the 2016 Olympic cycle, includes nine total tournaments and 15 core teams, culminating with the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow next June.
The Eagles will be departing on October 7 for the two-day competition beginning on October 13. The complete Gold Coast – Fever Pitch schedule can be found here.
“The guys have been working hard, are aware of the long road ahead, and are excited to play,” said Magleby. “We are looking forward to building on where we left off at the Qualifiers.”
USA Rugby will be following the Eagles as they take on South Africa and Canada on Saturday, and during day-two matches on Sunday. Fans can follow the Eagles on Twitter @USAEaglesRugby.
