adidas Kicks Butt at Rugby World Cup

adidas has long been one of the preferred rugby boots of professional players and were on display at the Rugby World Cup. The three-stripe brand was responsible for over 50% of the points that were kicked in New Zealand.

The adidas RX led the way with 487 total points while the adidas RS7 added another 69 points of the total 1086 kicked.

It is not hard to figure out why the high point total when you see how many players were wearing the adidas brand. The New Zealand All Blacks side were adidas rugby boots exclusively while 50% of the Argentina Puma players wear the brand. The other rugby nations were not too far behind with every team hacving between 13% and 40% of the players in the rugby boots.

Nike rugby boots were runners-up in New Zealand with the Nike Tiempo hitting for 191 points while Nike Superfly added 52 points, the Nike T90 adding 49 points, and the Nike CTR360 close behind with 46.

Eleven rugby boot brands total were in on the action as the Puma V1.11 with 48, Mizuno Morelia with 36, Puma Powercat at 27, Gilbert Xact with 24, and the Nomis Glove with 11 points.
