Chiefs CEO Gary Dawson has announced that the Chiefs matches against the Brumbies and Lions will be played at the other provinces in the franchise region.
The Chiefs are committed to being a truly regional team and look forward to the provinces embracing this exciting opportunity to host a Chiefs game and view live Super Rugby.
Dawson said: "We know how important it is to encourage our whole region to get behind their team and by taking Super Rugby games to Bayer Growers Stadium in Pukekohe and back to Baypark in Tauranga we hope it will help achieve this."
Counties Manukau CEO Andrew Maddock is rapt to host a Super Rugby match at Bayer Growers Stadium.
"This is a great opportunity for the Counties Manukau community to watch their Super Rugby team playing on their own ground. It is exciting to see our Steelers in their Super Rugby role at their home ground and we always enjoy having All Blacks play at Pukekohe.
"We have shown in the past that the people of Counties Manukau are keen to see this level of rugby at their stadium and by supporting this match it gives us greater opportunity to continue to host fixtures."
Baypark Stadium CEO Ervin McSweeney is please that the Chiefs want to continue to bring games to Baypark.
"Once again we are really happy to host a Super Rugby match in March. It was well reported we some issues last year with the capacity crowd but we are confident that all parties have worked out solutions to rectify these issues."
The Chiefs will play their other six fixtures at Waikato Stadium.
