Batty: Injured his knee against Montpellier

Bath currently only have Mark Lilley, who is normally a prop, available to play in the No.2 jersey for Friday's Aviva Premiership encounter with Worcester.

Batty was hobbled off during the second half of the Heineken Cup clash against the French side at the Rec, while Lee Mears and Pieter Dixon have already been sidelined.

England international Mears is likely to be out of action for two months after undergoing surgery on a torn bicep, while Dixon has damaged his Achilles and is unlikely to play for at least two weeks.

Should Bath fail to bolster their squad then academy product Will Tanner is likely to be recalled from his loan spell at Clifton.
