Less than a week after staying alive in the Heineken Cup courtesy of a tense victory over Montpellier, Bath will now target a win that would take them into the Premiership's title play-off zone.
New Zealand World Cup winner Stephen Donald will make his league debut at Sixways in a Bath side captained by former England skipper Lewis Moody, but their hooking injury crisis shows no sign of receding.
Ross Batty has joined Lee Mears and Pieter Dixon on the absentee list, so Mark Lilley - normally a prop - wears the number two shirt at Sixways, with 19-year-old Will Tanner providing bench cover.
Elsewhere, props Charlie Beech and Anthony Perenise take over from David Flatman and David Wilson, respectively, with Dave Attwood packing down alongside second-row partner Ryan Caldwell and Stuart Hooper dropping to the replacements.
"Worcester are pretty hard to beat," said Davis, Bath's skills and defence coach.
"We know they're going to be physical.
"We've just got to take their crowd out of the equation early on. We need to go there with a really tough mentality.
"The challenge is huge for us, especially since the competition is so tight. From third place to 10th there are just six points separating teams."
Worcester second row James Percival is ruled out with a hand injury so Matt Kvesic comes in at number eight with Chris Jones moving to lock and Ed Shervington starts as hooker.
